Since the birth of my daughter, I have regained my creative urge. I have been creating art all my life, and have taken some courses in College. Though, I would consider myself self taught. I am working on a style that I call "fairy tale impressionism". I revolve many paintings around the flora and fauna found on Vancouver Island, BC. Also, I like to dabble in fantasy.
Through my paintings I am attempting to convey my love of nature and the magic that is there (real and imagined). I want my "landscapes" to have a dynamic feel by mainly choosing the in between times of twilight and dawn, those also being the magical hours during the day: a pretty way to remind us of the importance of the space and creatures around us. And for those who still love fantasy, (children we are and were), I hope there is some enjoyment found in the ones I create.
My paintings can be found in several private collections. I take requests for custom paintings, of any size, where the buyer can influence me on colours, flora, fauna and any other desired scene. My available works can also be viewed in private at my home in Union Bay, BC upon request.
I am currently working on Volume 1 of a children's story book that will also be a collectible art book.
